Mother’s Day Stall

Friday 11 May, 11.30am -2pm – Wendy Wilson Hall.

We are calling on families to please help so we can make the 2018 Mother’s Day Stall another great success! You can help by:

  • Donating gifts and plants to the Office by lunchtime Thursday 10th May; and baked goods on either Thursday 10th May to the office or directly to the stall on Friday 11th May morning
  • Volunteering to Set up, Serve and/or Pack Up at the Mother’s Day Stall on Friday 11th May (for periods  between  9.30am to 3pm in the Wendy Wilson Hall (East Site))

Bakers:

  • Boxes, cellophane bags & labels available at the office
  • Please, no fresh cream or custard.
  • Please label all ingredients

Financial Update

Funds from 2017 have supported the installation of carpet in the Year 1 classroom and the glass sliding doors in the Year 2 area.

The superchuter from several years ago has now been installed on the West Site following completion of the major works (thanks to Kon Mentis!)

Funds from 2018 will be targeted to purchase air-conditioning in the new Grade 2 area (as only heating is provided by the Education Department).

GPA funds are also utilised for running various specialist programs.

Cake Raffle – Fridays – Tickets $1

The GPA co-ordinate a weekly cake raffle every Friday!

One family signs up each week to showcase their baking skills with something sweet – such as a cake, a batch of cupcakes, biscuits or slice, etc.

Students can buy tickets for $1 each to be in with a chance to win the coveted prize.

And if it is your week to bake, your child or children get their chance to take to the stage at assembly to show off what’s on offer and invite students to buy a ticket.

Easter Raffle – Thank you! 

Thanks to everyone for donating so many wonderful items for the Easter Raffle. Thanks to Archana Mallik, Caitilin Hawkins, Jill Powell, Rohini Kulkarni, Shan Jayaweera, Venmani Sasikumar, Tharana Surireddy  & Yvonne Balfour for  all their hard work preparing and wrapping all of the hampers .

We had many hampers raffled off with many happy winners!

Friday Snacks

We need your help! The GPA will be selling Berri Quelch Fruit Stick Ice Blocks and Hot Chocolates during Terms 2 & 3 every Friday lunchtime out of the kitchen attached to Wendy Wilson Hall on the Senior Site. Popcorn will be sold instead of the other snacks on Friday 8th June.

For Term 2 this will commence from Friday 27th April (week 2 of the term).

We need 4 helpers every Friday from 1.15pm for about an hour (12.15-1.1.5 on the last day of term) – please sign up http://signup.com/go/yXrBiwN

A form will be sent home with your child to pre-order and receive a discount!

Students who haven’t pre-ordered won’t miss out – you can purchase their snack on the day for $1 each.
