Welcome to Term 2.
After a busy last week of Term 1, the GPA is geared up to provide more events to enrich the next 10 weeks.
Profits from the term 1 fundraising (hot cross buns, cake & Easter raffles, icy poles, samosa lunch) was $805.
Thanks to all who contributed through participation, and especially to those who were able to contribute time to making these activities happen.
Upcoming GPA Events
Friday 12th May Mothers Day Stall
The Mother’s Day stall gives students the opportunity to purchase a special gift for the special women in their lives!
This is a Glen Huntly Parents Association (GPA) fundraising event, the money raised will go directly back into the school.
Friday 16th June Grandparents & Special Persons Morning Tea
Another great volunteering opportunity.
The GPA will be hosting the morning tea and we will need volunteers on the day for serving and preparation, as well as donation of sweet treats and snacks to serve.
Friday Icy Poles/Hot chocolates
Once again, icy poles or a cup of hot chocolate are available Friday lunchtimes during Term 2.
If you haven’t signed up for the term, your child can still participate by bringing $1 on the day. Remember, BYO mug for a bonus marshmallow.
Any parents with an hour to spare on Fridays 1.30-2.30. You don’t need to have joined GPA but you do need a WWCC (Working with Children Card)
Friday cake raffle
Don’t forget to get your ticket(s) each Friday! Tickets are $1 from the office.
Advance Notice
Mini Fete with Referendum Vote
The GPA is planning a “mini fete” to be held on the day of the Referendum Vote (Oct/Nov).
We will be looking for volunteers to participate and help organise this event which should be a great fundraising opportunity.
