Working Bees


Glen Huntly Primary School holds four Working Bees a year and relies on the generous support of our parents and community members.  The Working Bees are well attended and purely voluntary providing a great opportunity to foster friendships and a strong sense of our school community.

Term 2 Working Bee, Sunday 6 May 9am – 12pm.

We will all begin on the West Site where we will meet and set our jobs for the day. The jobs for this working bee will be across the two sites. They include:

West Site (Junior):

  • general tidy up
  • tidy up / prune car park area
  • tending to garden beds outside of prep rooms and entrance to the school
  • spread new soft fall
  • spread soft fall in carpark
  • tidy up area near water tank and fairy garden

East Site (Senior):

  • general tidy up
  • spread new soft fall
  • fix the bike shed
  • tidy up the chicken shed
  • paint over the graffiti on the shelter shed
  • move trestle tables into green shed

We have many jobs to get through and all of our hard workers will be rewarded with a delicious BBQ lunch. Don’t worry if you have never been to a Working Bee we will show you how! Come and get your hands dirty while doing an act of kindness for our school.
