TWO MORE MAJOR SPONSORS ON BOARD
Glen Huntly Primary School gratefully acknowledges the generous support from John, our school cleaner and Novo Super who have both come on board as major sponsors, joining Buddies Early Learning and CTG Audio and 1st Energy Pty Ltd as major sponsors this year.
John has generously stepped up again to sponsor our Fete – this time tipping in a massive $1000 towards our Art Show, which will be running at the Twilight Fete.
Novo Super has made a generous donation of $500 towards the Souvlaki Stall. More detail will be provided about these donations in our next newsletter.
If you are interested in joining the Giouris and Foden families as sponsors of our 2019 Twilight Fete, or if like the Verginis family, your workplace might be interested in stepping on board – we would love to hear from you.
Every donation – big or small – makes a huge difference and we are grateful for any support that our school community can offer. Listed below are the ways the school will recognise any support offered (including donations of goods and services).
How your support will be recognised | All contributions – any value $$ | Minor Sponsor $150+ (cash) | Major Sponsor $500+ (cash) |

VACANT COORDINATOR POSITIONS
Our committee is continuing to take shape, but we still desperately need coordinators for the following stalls and activities:

INDIAN DANCING
(but just not yet…)
TRASH ‘N’ TREASURE WISH LIST
The school is not yet ready to receive donations and we are likely to have less storage space than we have had in past years. We would really appreciate it if you can:
- donate more treasure, less trash
- store your donations at home until closer to the Fete.
If you have donations set aside, bagged or boxed up securely with contents marked on the outside – but nowhere to store them or if you can donate floor space in your sheds or garages to receive neatly boxed and labelled donations – please contact us.
All donations must be in good and working order, with no missing pieces.

LUCKY JARS
We are in extremely short supply of plastic jars for our LUCKY JAR stall – with less than 10% of our target reached so far. Any kinds of clear PLASTIC jars with lids are suitable – any size, any shape. If every school family donates just two lidded, clear PLASTIC jars we can make our target. Bring in more and we will reach our target in no time at all.
We are also asking for donations of content to fill the Lucky Jars. Think lucky dip – small, novelty, colourful and fun. The options are endless – here are some suggestions: stickers, temporary tattoos, novelty erasers, lollies, chocolates, hair accessories, stamps, party favours, chalk, marbles, toy cars, bubbles, pencils, rubber bouncy balls, yo-yos, slinkys, whistles, play dough, figurines, mini Lego kits, lip balm, nail polish, beads and string, jewellery, craft items, footy cards, swap cards, playing cards, novelty stationery items etc etc.
Please bring all your plastic jars and donations to the school office.
Craft Stall
Don’t forget to bring in your craft donations to the Office – we need toy plastic dinosaurs and animal figurines, glass jars, unfinished tubes of matt craft paints or cans of colourful spray paint and colourful sewing thread. If you would like to join our Craft Circle, please contact us.
SILENT AUCTION AND RAFFLE ITEMS
We are seeking donations of goods or services (including vouchers) for our silent auction or as prizes for our raffle. If you are associated with a business or know of businesses who might be interested in supporting our school with a donation of goods or services – please contact us and we will organise a sponsorship letter with more information.
Local businesses have already shown strong support by donating items and vouchers – which is awesome. Glen Huntly Primary School would like to thank the following individuals and businesses who have made donations to our silent auction and raffle since our last newsletter:

We encourage you to support the businesses that support our school.
We still desperately need a silent auction coordinator. If you can help us by taking on this important role, please sign up here or contact us.
We are seeking donations of plants for our plant stall – whether from plants you have propagated, divided or grown from seed. For handy tips on propagating for cuttings and succulents, or dividing and multiplying perennials, check out these Gardening Australia links.
We are also seeking donations of potting mix and small (clean) plastic pots – please bring any donations into the office.
KIDS – DESIGN OUR FETE NEWSLETTER ARTWORK
Keep sending in 2019 Twilight Fete Newsletter artwork for use in our future Fete newsletters and notices. The artwork must be on an A4 piece of paper (feel free to fill the whole page) and refer to the 2019 Twilight Fete. Entries can be in black and white or colour. Please include your name and class. We will use as many of the best submissions as we can on our future newsletters and notices – and the artists will go in our draw to win a free ride pass!
Our newsletter features the fantastic artwork submitted by Amelia Zhu (3S) – nice work, Amelia!
Thanks to our sponsors
