Congratulations to the winning team of Helen and Craig Matthews, Christine and Russell Short, Yvonne Balfour, Jenn Knight and friends. Please see Shan’s Rocktober report and check out all the photos below.

GPA – making a difference

The GPA are a dynamic team of parents and friends of the Glen Huntly Primary School Community who fundraise for our school to improve the facilities and experiences for our children. We also organise fun social events that bring our wonderful school community together and build strong links between our school and the wider community.

The GPA have raised $10,480 so far this year, and counting. We couldn’t have done it without your support.

Thank you for supporting our fundraising Halloween cupcake and doughnut day. We hope you all enjoyed the delicious cupcakes and doughnuts baked by our friends at the Bread Roll Shop in Ormond – who gave us a very special price so that we could raise some money for the school. They’re awesome and their cupcakes and doughnuts are too! We encourage you to support the businesses who support our school. Thank you to Caitilin Hawkins for co-ordinating and serving, and to Andrea Carveth and  Christine Donnan for helping to serve.

Kids Disco – (reminder new date Saturday 1st December)

Just a reminder that our Kids Disco will be held on Saturday 1 December in the Wendy Wilson Hall. At $10 entry, it is a fantastic deal – including a hot dog, a bottle of water, a goodie bag and lots of fun and great music brought to you by DJ Shan Jayaweera.

If you can volunteer at our Kids Disco on Saturday 1 December, please sign up. A SignUp roster will be created shortly and will be available on our GPA Signups group page (http://signup.com/go/yXrBiwN).

We are also on the lookout for some disco lights to set the scene. If you can help us out with disco lights, please shoot an email to gpacommunicationsofficer@gmail.com  and let us know.

Election Day – Saturday 24th November – Sausage Sizzle and more

On Saturday 24 November, Glen Huntly Primary School’s Wendy Wilson Hall will once again become a polling place for the Victorian State Election and the site of the Glen Huntly Primary School Sausage Sizzle and Cake Stall.

We are still seeking a co-ordinator for the Cake Stall. If you can help, please email gpacommunicationsofficer@gmail.com or sign up by following the link below. The GPA are more than happy to give you a guiding hand.

We will need all hands on deck for our Election Day stalls. In 2016, we raised over $3000 from our Election Day Stalls – so it is well worth the effort. Thank you to everyone who has already signed up. Past volunteers will attest to it being a fun couple of hours out of Election Day.

If you can help by coordinating our cake stall, baking or volunteering at our BBQ or Cake Stall on Saturday 24 November, please sign up here: http://signup.com/go/XFcdyZw
