FRIDAY LUNCHTIME SNACKS FOR TERM 2 2021

Throughout Term 2 GPA are planning on selling Hot Chocolates as well as Berri Quelch Fruit Juice Stick icy poles on Friday Lunchtimes!

This will be available to all students in Prep to Grade 6 with service on both the Senior (East) & Junior (West) sites.

A huge thank you to Heidi Powell for coordinating this and to the many volunteers for serving throughout Term 1 – Amandine Joalland, Briana Price-Robertson, Caitlin Hawkins, Fiona Davey, Gabriela Munoz, Hayley Clift, Himaja Bathula, Jyothsna Mvr & Kathryn Dench (and anyone else who did help but isn’t on the SignUp roster!)

Please note that in order to be able to prepare and serve the hot chocolates from the 2 sites we will need 6 volunteers each week. Term 2 Roster Now Open: Term 2 Hot Chocolate / Icy Pole Roster

Cost: $1 each (remeber it is cash only). Bring in your own cup for the hot chocolate and you will receive a marshmallow!

WEEKLY CAKE RAFFLE – Drawn at assemblies Fridays

We had some amazing and delicious offerings for our Term 1 Cake Raffle! Thanks to Supriya for the lovely cake last week – Samson Bloch thoroughly enjoyed his second cake raffle win!

Each week a GHPS family signs up to bake a cake / slice / biscuits (or whatever else you choose!) and the children are invited to present the delicious treat and draw the raffle at assembly on Friday.

Tickets are $1 each – you can purchase as many entries as you would like!

HARMONY DAY SUSHI LUNCH

The GHPS community enjoyed a wonderful Sushi Lunch for Harmony Day on Thursday 25th March.

Thank you to Hayley Clift (Adam PS & Harvey 2S) and Abbi Gilbert (Eden PS, Lewis 1M & James 3O) for coordinating the lunch.

Hayley & Abbi on behalf of GPA wish to say a very big thank you to Heidi Powell (Riley 5/6), Fiona Davey (Daniel 2C & Luke 5/6), Archana Mallik (Oishika 4N), Anuradha (Sai Varnika 4N), Nicole Healy (Charlie 1M & Benjamin 3O) and Amandine Joalland (Apolline 4N) for helping to pack and distribute more than 350 sushi rolls! Thank you also to the school community for supporting this special lunch – we look forward to providing more special lunches in the coming terms!

EASTER HAT PARADE & EASTER RAFFLE

The Easter Hat Parade is being held Wednesday, 31^st March for children in Prep – Grade 2, along with our Easter Raffle draw.

Thank you to all GHPS families who contributed such wonderful Easter Goodies for the hampers. Thank you to Amandine Joalland, Hayley Clift, Nicole Verginis & Yanti Panjaitan-Smith for wrapping the hampers on Tuesday afternoon.

GPA CHARTER AND DOCUMENTATION

You can become a member of the GPA by completing the application form on the last page of the GPA Constitution and providing that The Office (East Site). Membership is open to all GHPS families and is free. You can also subscribe to the GPA Mailing List at the bottom of the GHPS GPA page on our website.

Even if you are not a member you are still welcome to volunteer to help with any of the events/drives we coordinate (noting that to help at school you are required to supply a copy of your current Working With Children Check to the School Office to be kept on file as per the VOLUNTEERS policy and also sign that you consent to the GHPS Code of Conduct).

This website has been wonderful in rostering / preparing for GPA events and we will continue to use this for upcoming events.

2) Review the options listed and choose the spot(s) you like.

3) Sign up by entering your name, email address and phone number.

You will receive an email reminder to let you know what you have volunteered for
