GHPS IS COMMITTED TO CHILD SAFETY
Learning Today. Leading Tomorrow.
Principal’s Report
Once again, I would like to welcome everyone back to term 4 and hope that everyone managed to enjoy doing something wonderful during the break. Included in last weekend’s Compass welcome notification, we detailed the following Back to School in Metro Melbourne and Glen Huntly Primary and we are now a little closer to the return to school date for students and staff albeit a staggered staging which starts in week 3.
We continue to follow the DET Health and Safety advice and are very much looking forward to seeing everyone as soon as possible.
During the week, students have returned to remote or onsite learning, and I have been very impressed by the feedback I have received about how positively students have engaged with their learning. It remains so very important to us that all students are happy, healthy and approaching their learning in the most optimal way possible.
Keep up the great work!
From Monday 18 October (third week of Term 4)
· Prep will be back on site at school for Monday to Wednesday and remote learning Thursday and Friday
· Years 1 and 2will be back on site at school for Thursday and Friday and remote learning Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
From Tuesday 26 October (fourth week of Term 4)
· Year 3 and 4 will be back on site at school for Tuesday and Wednesday and remote learning Monday Thursday and Friday
· Year 5 and 6 will be back on site at school for Thursday and Friday and remote learning Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
From Friday 5 November

Glen Eira Active Challenge 4 – 29 October
It was wonderful to be notified by GHPS Sport Captain Hasini who has made a video encouraging us all to participate in a challenge that can keep us all that little bit fitter and a little bit healthier.
Join the GHPS Instagram or facebook page and you will be able to view Hasini. It would be great if GHPS could take out the interschool honors as we did in 2019 and at the same time, improve our own well being.
Planning for 2022
We would welcome the submission of 2022 Prep enrollment forms from any families who have yet to enrol their child.
Enrolment forms have started coming in and we are planning for two prep classes in 2022 or if the need arises, a third class may be necessary.
If you have any questions about how to submit your form during remote learning, please contact the main office on 9571 2933 or email the school at glenhuntly.ps@education.vic.gov.au
We are hoping to offer a wonderful kinder to school transition program for new prep children and will confirm the sessions when advised by the DET.
In the meantime, the proposed dates are on the website and we are looking forward to meeting the children during this time.
It is always enjoyable to meet with the members of the GPA and I thank them for their initiative in continuing to create ways to raise funds for GHPS.
The TriNature Fundraiser is a fantastic opportunity to purchase some wonderful products at a discounted price plus earn some $$ for the school, so please support this if you would like to spruce up your cleaning using natural products.
